CANANDAIGUA – A child was critically injured Saturday following a boating accident on Canandaigua Lake, prompting a large emergency response from multiple agencies. According to authorities, the incident occurred near the eastern shore of the lake when the child suffered serious injuries while aboard a recreational vessel. Emergency responders, including marine patrol units, EMS personnel, and local law enforcement agencies, were dispatched to the scene and provided immediate medical assistance before the child was transported to a regional trauma center for treatment. Officials reported that the child’s condition was critical following the accident.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into the incident and has not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the injury.
