Aviation & Automotive Showcase: Wings & Wheels Returns to Hammondsport this September

Jim Moore / August 19, 2026

HAMMONDSPORT — Aviation enthusiasts and classic car lovers will gather in Keuka Lake’s village square and Depot Park on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for the annual Wings & Wheels celebration. Running from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the free community event honors pioneer Glenn H. Curtiss with seaplane displays and a judged car show.

Co-hosted by the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum and dedicated volunteers, the event brings a wide variety of seaplanes to Depot Park at the head of Keuka Lake, allowing visitors to view the aircraft up close and chat with owner-pilots. Alongside the water-flying tributes, dozens of classic American and exotic European sports cars will line Shether Street, Park Place, and the village square.

Key registration details, voting procedures, and event schedule highlights include:

  • Seaplane Entry: All participating seaplanes must pre-register prior to the event. There is no registration fee, and registered aircraft will receive a display windshield card and designated parking at Depot Park.
  • Car Show Registration: Show car entries are $20 if pre-paid in advance or $30 on the day of the event. Pre-registration is required, and all registered cars will receive an official windshield card.
  • Audience Voting & Awards: Event attendees act as judges, receiving ballots to vote for their favorite vehicles. Winners will be tallied and announced at 3:30 p.m. in the Village Square.
  • New Kids’ Choice Award: For 2026, the show introduces a dedicated Kids’ Choice Award, allowing young attendees to explore the vehicle displays and cast votes for their personal favorite.
