FINGER LAKES – The American Red Cross is calling on regional residents to give blood, platelets, or AB Elite plasma this fall, rolling out new limited-time donor incentive programs throughout September.
Donors who participate through September 20 will receive a Red Cross and Hello Kitty gift bag containing an exclusive plush mascot clip and three mystery stickers, while supplies last. A second campaign will follow immediately from September 21 through October 18, offering all donors a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of their choice. Appointments can be scheduled directly through the American Red Cross website or mobile app.
Key donation drive locations across the region for September include:
- Cayuga County: Sept. 4 at Moravia Fire Dept.; Sept. 9 at Scipioville Presbyterian Church; Sept. 17 at Auburn Fire Dept.; Sept. 19 at Sacred Heart Church; Sept. 24 at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES; Sept. 25 at Fingerlakes Mall.
- Wayne County: Sept. 8 at American Legion; Sept. 11 at Williamson United Methodist Church and Lyons Transportation Dept.; Sept. 14 at Macedon Public Library; Sept. 18 at Casey Park in Ontario; Sept. 23 at Walworth Fire Dept.; Sept. 25 at American Legion Post 286; Sept. 26 at Palmyra Town Hall.
- Yates County: Sept. 10 at Branchport Fire Dept.; Sept. 15 at United Methodist Church; Sept. 16 at Himrod and Benton fire departments; Sept. 24 at Penn Yan Academy; Sept. 30 at Keuka College.
- Seneca County: Sept. 5 at Sampson State Park in Romulus, followed by an upcoming drive Oct. 1 at the Standard Process Health & Fitness Center.
