Keuka College’s AGPCNP program is now available online, meeting the rising demand for senior care professionals as the population ages.
Keuka College’s Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) program has been approved by the New York State Education Department to be offered online, expanding access to aspiring nurse practitioners across the country. Classes for the new format began this semester, addressing a critical need for senior care providers as the U.S. aging population is projected to increase significantly—rising from 58 million in 2022 to 82 million by 2050, according to the Population Reference Bureau.
The program has already achieved a 100% pass rate on the national certification exam, demonstrating its effectiveness. Designed for flexibility, the online format accommodates nursing professionals with varying schedules, complemented by weekend on-campus immersions each semester for practical experience. The program is open to both bachelor’s and master’s degree holders in nursing, equipping graduates to take the national certification examination and meet the growing demand for senior care professionals.
