A domestic dispute involving alcohol and a child led to the arrest of two individuals in Bath on October 18th.
Village of Bath Police responded to a disturbance at the Kwik Fill gas station on West Morris Street. Upon arrival, officers determined that Carrie Bowers, 45, and James Bowers, 58, both of Endicott, had been involved in an altercation while driving with a 15-year-old child in the vehicle.
Both adults were allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident.
James Bowers was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both misdemeanors. Carrie Bowers faces more serious charges, including Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (a felony), DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Both individuals were arraigned in CAP Court and released. The child was placed in the care of a third party.
