Penn Yan, NY – The StarShine Committee has announced a change to this year’s holiday festivities. The annual StarShine celebration and Lights on Wheels Parade will now take place on a single day, Saturday, December 7th.
To accommodate the combined event, all StarShine activities will move to the Yates County Courtyard. The popular Lights on Wheels Parade will also follow a new route, starting at East Main Street near the Yates County Fairgrounds and ending on North Main Street in front of the Yates Community Center.
The Committee believes this consolidation will streamline volunteer efforts and create a more cohesive community experience. Traditional StarShine favorites, such as visits with Santa, Elf School, and tractor rides, will still be part of the event. The Committee is also working to encourage attendees to explore downtown shops and restaurants during the celebration. More details on promotional activities for Main Street businesses will be released in the coming weeks.
