Bath Rod and Gun Club hosted over forty youth shooters

Bath, NY – The 2025 New York State 4-H State Shoot, held May 16–18 at the Bath Rod and Gun Club, brought together 41 talented youth from nine counties across the state to compete in a weekend of marksmanship and sportsmanship. The event served as the official qualifier for youth hoping to represent New York at the national 4-H shooting sports competition.
Steuben County 4-H participants delivered a standout performance, competing in 39 events and bringing home an impressive 21 medals across first, second, and third place finishes. Their dedication and skill were on full display, highlighting the strength of local youth in the statewide 4-H shooting sports program.
The event would not have been possible without the support of over 20 volunteers from across the state, who generously gave their time and expertise to help make the weekend safe, successful, and memorable for all participants.
A huge thank you goes out to Bath Rod and Gun Club for hosting the competition and for their unwavering support of the 4-H Shooting Sports program. Their facilities and hospitality played a vital role in making this event a success.
