Tour de Keuka 2025 Set for August 2 with Special Tribute and Free Children’s Safety Rodeo

2025 Tour de Keuka

Jim Moore / August 1, 2025

United Way of the Southern Tier will host the 20th annual Tour de Keuka charity ride around Keuka Lake on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The event supports vital community programs serving children, seniors, and families across Chemung and Steuben counties.

This year’s ride carries a special tribute: the 100-mile route has been renamed in memory of co-founder Jenny Rhoads, who passed away in 2017. In its first year, the ride raised over $30,000—and its legacy continues thanks to dedicated participants and volunteers. The title sponsor for 2025 is Kennedy Valve Manufacturing Inc.

Cyclists can register for one of four options—45-, 60-, or 100‑mile routes, or a virtual ride—and must commit to raising at least $150 in donations. Registration fee is $65 through August 1, and increases to $75 on event day. Participants receive event T‑shirts and finisher awards; those raising $350 or more also receive an exclusive 2025 cycling jersey.

A new feature this year is a free Bike Safety Rodeo for children, beginning at 10 a.m. on the firehouse grounds. Hosted by United Way, Corning Credit Union and Pedal for a Purpose, the session includes safety lessons, a scavenger hunt, and a drawing for prizes including bicycles. Registration is limited to 60 children, and advance registration is requested. Participants must bring their own bike and helmet, and are asked to donate a new, unopened hygiene item for United Way’s Back‑to‑School toiletries drive.

The ride begins and ends at the Hammondsport Fire Station, with support throughout the course including breakfast, lunch, rest stops, SAG vehicles, and marked routes. It’s open to riders from across the U.S. seeking a scenic, supported ride with a strong community purpose.
