Hundreds of “No Kings” Protests Set Across New York

Staff Report / March 27, 2026

New York is preparing for a sweeping wave of coordinated demonstrations this Saturday, as part of a rapidly expanding national movement opposing policies of President Donald Trump.

Organizers say more than 100 peaceful protests are scheduled across New York State alone, contributing to over 3,000 events planned nationwide for what advocates are calling one of the largest single-day demonstrations in U.S. history.

The protests—branded under the “No Kings” movement—are expected to draw millions of participants across cities, suburbs, and rural communities, with strong turnout anticipated throughout the Hudson Valley.

Hudson Valley Sees Widespread Participation

Communities across the Hudson Valley are hosting events throughout the day, reflecting the decentralized nature of the movement. Confirmed gatherings include:

  • Amenia: Noon to 1 p.m. at Route 22 and Route 44
  • Beacon: 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Park
  • Cornwall: Noon to 2:30 p.m. on Quaker Avenue
  • Ellenville: 11 a.m. to noon at U.S. 209 and Canal Street
  • Gardiner: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Main Street
  • Goshen: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Main and South Church streets

Dozens of additional events are planned in nearby towns, forming what organizers describe as a “network of local actions” rather than a single centralized protest.

A National Day of Action

Saturday’s demonstrations mark the third major nationwide mobilization under the “No Kings” banner since 2025. The movement emerged in response to concerns over immigration enforcement, executive power, and foreign policy decisions, and has grown steadily with each iteration.

Recent developments—including controversial immigration operations and ongoing international conflicts—have intensified momentum behind the protests, according to organizers and participants.

The day’s flagship rally is set to take place in St. Paul, Minnesota, where high-profile speakers and performers are expected to draw large crowds, underscoring the national scope of the demonstrations.

Organizers Emphasize Peaceful Demonstrations

Event organizers have consistently stressed that all protests are intended to remain nonviolent. The movement’s stated goal is to demonstrate public opposition to what participants describe as authoritarian leadership and to affirm democratic principles.

Messaging tied to the protests centers on rejecting concentrated power and reinforcing the idea that leadership in the United States is accountable to its citizens—not above them.
