Keuka College Moves Up in National Rankings, Gains Ground in Social Mobility

Staff Report / December 1, 2025

Keuka College is celebrating a strong showing in this year’s U.S. News & World Report rankings, marking notable gains in both overall performance and student outcomes. In the 2025 list of Best Regional Universities in the North, the college advanced to No. 128, improving from No. 139 a year earlier. The institution also made a significant leap on the publication’s Top Performers on Social Mobility list, climbing to No. 76 from last year’s No. 109.

The social mobility category measures how effectively colleges support students from low-income backgrounds, particularly those receiving federal Pell Grants, by helping them persist through graduation.

Vice President for Enrollment Management Pete Bekisz said the recognition reflects long-standing priorities. “Keuka College has long been committed to creating pathways for students of all backgrounds to achieve a transformative college education,” he noted, adding that the rankings underscore the school’s efforts to provide access, mentorship, and career preparation that lead to long-term success.

President Amy Storey said the improved standings highlight the college’s broader mission. “At Keuka College, the most important thing we do is expand our graduates’ economic mobility,” she said. “When our students succeed, they lift their families and strengthen their communities.”

Keuka College also earned praise from Washington Monthly this fall, appearing on the magazine’s Best Bang for the Buck Colleges in the Northeast list and gaining recognition among top Master’s Universities. Those evaluations consider factors such as affordability, graduation rates, community engagement, and post-college outcomes—areas where the college continues to show strong performance.
