Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Steuben County is gearing up for two community events later this week, offering opportunities for residents to learn and connect.
The annual 4-H Summer Showcase kicks off Thursday at Hendershot Haflingers on Clinton Road in Cameron Mills. The three-day event highlights local youth agricultural projects and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Also on Saturday, CCE educators will host an informational session in Bath focused on managing tree fruit pests. The program, led by CCE’s Jen Hill, will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Cold Springs Road.
Both events are open to the public, and preregistration is encouraged for the pest management session. To register or learn more, call Cornell Cooperative Extension at 607-664-2574.
